Steps
- Buckle the driver seatbelt
- Insert key in ignition.
- With foot OFF of brake, press the START button.
- Hold down the trip odometer reset button (lower left corner of glass window in instrument panel). Wait about 10 seconds, and you will see the picture in the upper display change.
- Now release the trip meter reset button, then press again. Each time you press it, it will scroll through a list of items that can be reset.
- When you see the item that needs to be reset, hold down the trip meter reset button again. After several seconds, the word "RESET?" will appear in the lower display.
- Release the button and press again, holding a few seconds until you see the value reset.
Tips
- Many posts have noted that sometimes you will see a German menu when you try this. If, at the beginning of the process, you don't press the start button with your foot off the pedal (instead, you put the key in and go directly to holding down the trip meter reset button).
