You have a 2007 Toyota Camry and you want to change the air filter on it. Read this wiki to learn the secrets.
Steps
- 1Open the hood. On the big black air filter box in the right rear, there are 2 bolts at the right end of the box. Loosen them until they disconnect from the housing. They should not come out entirely. The bolt in the rear, unless you have the proper sized nut driver wrench, can be difficult to remove if it is tight.

- 2Once all the bolts are loose you may dislodge the box.
- 3Pull the right side of the box up. It may be a bit tight, but it will lift up. It needs about 3-4 inches to be able to get the old filter out.
- 4Vacuum any leaves, dirt anything else inside the box.
- 5Put the new filter in with the "up" side up.
- 6There are 3 round corners and one squared corner on the new filter, the squared portion goes to the back left of the unit. Make sure to seat the housing properly. Check the back left of the housing to ensure it locks into place.
- 7Hold down the black box and tighten the 2 bolts so that the box is secure in its original position.
Things You'll Need
- Nut driver or a socket set with extension(long nosed needle nosed pliers will also work just not as effective as the other two options)
- Vacuum cleaner
- New air filter
