You can save yourself a couple of bucks by changing the oil in your car yourself. Here is how to do it quickly and properly. Please note that some vehicles are different than others, so please be sure to consult your owners manual for further instructions.
Steps
- 1Pull the hood release switch.
- 2Open the hood.
- 3Unscrew the oil cap and set it aside.
- 4Pull out the dipstick and place it in the oil reservoir.
- 5Wipe the dipstick off and check the oil level. If it's bad, continue to step 6.
- 6Pour oil into the oil reservoir.
- 7Replace the oil cap. Turn your car on and check the oil level now. If it's bad, repeat. If it's good, you're good.
