This is not a hack. This was set up purposely by Apple.

Steps

   Turn on the iPod and go to main menu. Make sure no music is playing at the moment.

   Hold the middle/center button and the menu button at the same time until the iPod shuts off, approximately 8 Sec.

   The moment the screen goes off press and hold the center/middle button and the rewind button and it should take you to a special page.

   
   

Tips

• Only do this if you really need to get to this page to do something to the iPod settings.
• To exit the page and get back into the main iPod menu go to reset
• This won't work with the iPod Touch

• Things You'll Need
• the iPod might get damaged if you mess around with the settings, and if this happens, restore the iPod.
• For the safety of your hearing, do not insert a pair of headphones and then hit "Playback" otherwise it will do a series of loud beeps.
