How to Fill a Radiator Overflow Tank

Old cars need caring. After installing a sensor to indicate to me that the water level in the overflow tank had reached minimum, I needed a way to quickly fill it up to the maximum level.

Steps

    Measure the amount of water required to fit between the maximum and minimum water level marks.

    Measure an equivalent amount of water and pour it into a plastic bottle.
  3. 3
    Quick (and accurate) fill

    Mark the level with a permanent marker.

    If the capacity of the bottle allows for it, repeat the previous step.

    Put the bottle in your car boot!
